Dan grew up off the grid in Northern California and spent many of his best days with his father working in the Redwood and Douglas Fir forests, thinning timber with a cross-cut saw, and building log cabins. Working in the hardwood forests of the Midwest has been like a homecoming to him and he loves nothing more than hiking the rocky hills and helping forest ecosystems return to their natural state.
